Similar to Barton Broad in the fact you can't walk for miles, there is a short board walk through wet woodland down to a view point and large informative visitor cetre. Upstairs they have binoculars and telescopes set up to view the broad. Spring can be a good time to see Black and Arctic Terns and if you are lucky an Osprey may stop for a day. Marsh Harriers are usually seen around the broad and Cetti's Warblers should be heard.
